Our Africa- A Poem

 Our Africa!
People of the black Africa
Scattered around the earth
Caused by us
Caused by the western supremacists
Who regarded us as monkeys
And by our inferiority complex

Our Africa!
Listen and listen carefully
Infact, hold your ear!
Why do you love excuses?
Why do you love blame game?
You think you are not the cause of your underdevelopment?
Then who?
Answer me!

Our Africa!
Your  patriotic nationalists
Have become  demi-gods
They have developed cult of personalities
They have influenced every part of your live

They decide how you live your live
You are nothing without them!

Our Africa!
They tell you
Youth are leaders of tomorrow
Youths  that were not yet born when they took over power
But now they are still in power
Youth that have been brainwashed
Youth that now fight for their Lords
Lords who rule and hand over to their kins

Our Africa!
They, your leaders,
Loot your wealth,
Siphon it overseas to their white masters
Who in turn uses it to develop their  lands

Our Africa!
If I’m elected,
I will give you heaven and earth
They will give you sachet salt
For the exchange of your power!
You lick the salt and wait till next election!

Our Africa!
What are you afraid of?
Guns?  Knife?  Tear  gas?  Bomb?
All these things?
Hmmmm
Which one is better?
To die fighting for your right?
Or to die an unaccomplished human?
Our Africa!!!
Still holding your ear?
Our Africa!
Our Africa!
Our Africa!
Wake up!
Wake up!
Wake up!
